The Mosaic District, one of my favorite places in Northern Virginia, offers many fun places to shop, eat, and have a good time. I went with my good friend Maiah to find some deals and find some even better eats.
The first place we went was Dolcezza Gelato and Coffeehouse. How can one establishment serve two of the best things on earth? Dolcezza blows both out of the water. Although I have had their coffee in the past (affogato is my go to), it was a VERY hot day and so gelato was just what I was in the mood for. I chose the Blueberry Lavender and Lemon Ricotta while Maiah opted for the Dark Chocolate and Peppermint Stracciatella.
Can we just talk about the aesthetic of this photo? 😉
After an indulgent treat, what better way to burn calories than to shop. We went to Paper Source and Anthropologie to look for some stationery and materials to decorate our dorms. I found a National Parks calendar which will go perfect with the dorm aesthetic I’m trying to pull off(my dorm design post will be up later this week). While, I was at Anthropologie I found out about the sale pictured below, so if you’re an educator be sure to take advantage of that!
Not too much shopping was done as we have to save some spending money for college next month (the student life has already begun). But Maiah and I took photos (Blogger+Blogger=MANY photos) around some of the artsy scenes dotting the Mosaic district.
The shirt I’m wearing was $2 at a thrift store!!
To finish off the day we went to True Food Kitchen, a restaurant that believes in farm to table, holistic health food that works perfect for people like me who have intolerances to certain foods. I got a Honey Lemonade, the Ancient Grains bowl(GF), and Flourless Chocolate Cake(V, GF) for Dessert.
Maiah can be seen with her Teriyaki Tofu Grains Bowl. She has an AMAZING lifestyle blog that I highly recommend. Here’s the link: Polished and Petite and also follow her on Instagram @polished.and.petite
Thanks for a great day Maiah!
