Many of the restaurants in the Northern Virginia area lack a certain class in comparison with the fine dining experiences present in major cities but Trummers holds their own even when compared with the best. Although I was fearing a lack of gluten free and paleo options, the waitress and chef were extremely receptive to any allergies and necessary substitutions. I decided to have a little bit of a cheat meal with the risotto and lactose present throughout but it was well worth it.
Each course brought new levels and depth of flavor and there was care evident in the plating and delicacy of presentation. One fun thing that I found for those under 21 was the “cocktails” that they had available. I indulged in a Sage Lemonade mocktail that was to die for.
